Guess what I won! $500.00 dollars to the Bellagio Hotel. Guess who's going to Vegas Baby! I decided it was only fair to take my mom - and so her and I are going to take two nights in March to relax in a luxury suite!!! Yeah - I'm so excited!!!

My Alaska Pictures

I added some pictures of Alaska on my blog...can't seem to figure out how to make it a slide show...but I have the website if anyone wants to go on and look at it. It's right underneath the picture of me and my two favorite bartenders, and info on me. Enjoy - It makes me homesick to look at these pictures, but I loved every minute up there this summer!!!

Before...AND AFTER!

Here is a picture of my couch before it's pillow change! In my sewing class at school the very first day of class we learned how to make these very simple pillow cases. I love them because they are simple, yet very straight and clean lines...no ruffles - not really into that look right now. What I'm trying to get at is for another class of mine I had to do a demostration, and for it I chose to show my class mates how to make this simple pillow case to jazz up a frumpy sofa. I think I did an awesome job, and not only that but I got some new pillows out of the whole dealio! Here are the new improved colorful stripe and floral pillow cases!!!

My Saturday Work Day...

I show up to work around 9:00 am and begin my day with making packets and catching up on my Grey's Anatomy (Since The Office comes on the same time...I have to chose between the two). After Grey's and stuffing packets I usually update my blog, check MySpace, and catch up on my emails. Around noon I go and get a free lunch out in our Model Homes; eat up and get back to my computer. I then decide I better work on some of my homework, so for a couple more hours I do homework. Around 4:00 pm I decid that I've done enough homework so it's time to play on the internet, I look at clothes, travel sites, books, etc. Then around 6:00 pm it's time to lock up and head home. Gee's, I'm kind of worn out from sitting in front of the computer all day!!!

Taking Care of Myself and Exercise!!!

Lately I have not been taking much care of myself...not quite sure why? Some could say depression, but I will just say pure LAZINESS! I'm so pleased with myself because the past two weeks now I have gotten up and gotten myself ready for the day. Before I was just rolling out of bed and wearing jeans, a hoodie, and a baseball cap - not flattering. I think the breaking point happened when I was driving home and Summer passed me on the road - I immediately got a phone call from her saying that she wanted to burn the "damn" hat that I was wearing. First I was stunned that she knew what I was wearing - she then informed me that she just passed me...HELLO?!?! I then got a talking to from her about how I need to take care of myself and look presentable, and then she proceeded to say that she didn't want me to be lonely. Ohhh...how kind! I decided it was time to make some changes!

Let me say this - from observation...since I have gotten up each morning and got myself ready I have noticed a difference in doing things throughout the day. I have been getting more done in my homework, in doing house work, and just more energy. The day's I haven't gotten ready I was more lazy and didn't care! Neat observation in my book!

Also, I have had some great inspiration from some family members (Anisa, Shellie, Summer...to name a few) who have lost lots of weight, toned up, and who have a daily exercise routine. Well, you have inspired me! I have been going to the gym everyday this week with Summer when she can make it, and I feel like I have been working out like crazy. It feels SO GOOD!!!

To summarize everything - my point is that I am going to keep my blog up with updates on my exercise routine! I read some where that it is a great way of staying motivated when everyone reads your blog. There you have it! I'll keep you posted on my exercising!!!

Holy $&!#...

Can I just say that text messaging is horrible!!! I went over about sixty some dollars on my phone bill this month and about had heart failure when I saw the amount of $157.08 due. I have never gone over on my phone bill, and I will never go over again! I have never liked text messaging in the first place, now I really am not liking it at all! I can't seem to bring myself to get rid of it though...so I guess I'm going to have to keep a close watch on it for this next month. $157.08 - What was I thinking???

Temple Sealing

Today around 11:30am I attended a sealing of one of my friends who just got married. Well, as I was in a hurry to make the (what I thought) 11:30 Sealing I came rushing in the front door when I saw a very familiar man walking towards me (the front door) and It was Elder Jefferey R. Holland!!! He looked right at me and said "Hello". My mom thinks I should have tried to touch his jacket so I could be healed...HEALED from what? Singlehood??? Any how, I was thrilled to see him at the Temple!!!

Needless to say - I wasn't late for the Sealing. It was actually at 12:00pm. But I'm glad I was early and got see one of the Apostles!!!

My Journey in School...

As most of you know I am here at SUU getting my bachelors degree - in what I thought, Interior Design. Well...I guess the Lord has other plans for me. I have had to change my degree. Now, in the begining I did not pray about this, and this is something that I probably should've taken to the Lord - but I didn't, I got all high and mighty and thought that I didn't need his help or guidance. Now it's all biting me in the BUTT! The past two weeks have been very trying for me, but I have finally gained some peace of mind and now know that I'm on the right path...for the time being?!? It turns out that I have enough credits already that it won't put me any further behind, so I'm getting my bachelors in Secondary Education. I'm going to be a Home Economics Teacher. CRAZY Huh? You know, I always try to pray to know that I'm on the "right path" and I never get any such feeling so I go forward anyways...Well, the Lord always has a way to get me back on the "right path" or the path that i'm suppose to be on.

Family Pictures

This past Sunday evening we went and got our family picture updated. What an evening! The minute we walked out the door Cash threw up everywhere. He was out on the back patio puking all over the place, why my Dad was right behind him with the water hose trying to clean everything up. After his little spill we all loaded up in THREE cars to drive over to Bloomington Hills to an old Chevy truck to get our pictures taken. We followed our photographer (family friend) on a wild goose chase, or so it seemed. She took us on roads that were closed yet we went through any ways - my car luckily is still alive??? What a journey to get there?!?! Needless to say once we got there we had an awesome sunset, and Cash even had a smile on his face for the majority of the pictures. Can't wait to show everyone our updated family photo.
