My Journey with the Salad Spinner

Santa was so nice to bring me exactly what I wanted this year! As my Mom (working for Santa) asked me what I would like, I told her to tell him (Santa) that I wanted a KitchenAid Salad Spinner. I previously have owned a cheap Wal-Mart brand salad spinner that sounds like Australian Folk out in the "Bush" every time I spin it. (Ever seen Crocodile Dundee???) Needless to say that Wal-Mart Salad Spinner has done good for me, and I was able to get my $3.00 use out of it, but it was time to upgrade to a nicer and better salad spinner! About a week after Christmas I put this KitchenAid Spinner to use and can I just say WOW! Not only are my salads ten times better than normal, but they are now COMPLETELY DRY - the lettuce is so crisp and crunchy, gosh it's making my mouth water just typing this up! If anyone is in the market for a salad spinner go with the KitchenAid brand...it may cost more money, but golly it's SO worth it in the end result! Plus if you make salads as much as I do then you will for sure get your money's worth! One more thing - even after you are done spinning your salad you can use the bowl to store your salad!!! My Wal-Mart brand never did that!

They are Aborigines, not Australian Folk in the "Bush." And just what does a salad spinner do and why would you need such a contraption? - Logan

I like salad but I don't Love Salad - It sounds Like it would just take up space in my Cupboard. I just like the pre-packaged salads anyway they come with everything. Just wash and eat. I would love to make you a sign for you & your Hubby - But you need to not be so picky. Since the best single guy out there is your brother cash you will just have to settle for 2nd best.

Ethan and I were so impressed with the salad spinner you got from Santa that we went to the store after Christmas and got a similar one. Not KitchenAid, but something non-crappy. We love it! The best is storing the lettuce in the bowl because it really keeps it nice for quite a long time. Makes me feel excited to be healthier. Or something.

Yea, I don't get it. I guess you'll have to show me some time. Why do you need to wash lettuce? Why can't you just buy a bag? Anisa

Salad in a bag is considered fake to me! I love fresh red and green leaf. Although, I do use spinach in a bag when I am going for a spinach salad, but it's nice to put the spinach in the salad spinner and spin it away!
