Have you ever had a Peanut Butter and K-Y Jelly Sandwich?

Have you ever had a peanut butter an K-Y Jelly sandwich? I haven't, but I almost served one up.
First off, what is K-Y Jelly? Well, according to Wikipedia "K-Y Jelly is a water-based, water-soluble personal lubricant produced by Johnson & Johnson. According to the company, "The origins of the brand name 'K-Y' are unknown. Two popular myths are that it was created in Kentucky, hence K-Y', or that the letters represent the key ingredients used to make the lubricant. Neither of these is true. The name remains a bit of a mystery."

Intrigued? If you would like to read more about what K-Y Jelly is click here.

Now, let me get back to my question at hand here (no pun intended...if you get that joke you are as perverted as me!).

Once upon a time many, many, MANY years ago a young little naive girl, named *Lucinda (*name has been changed to protect her innocence) got a job at the ripe o'l age of 16 at the local grocery store. Her first position was to work the video counter, which at the time was connected to the service counter of the grocery store. One of her responsibilities of working the video counter was to help out the service counter when the area got busy with customers. That meant answering phones. So, one Sunday afternoon as this young girl was working in her video section of the store the phone started to ring. It started to ring so much that the service counter couldn't attend to all the phone calls. "Oh no," thought the young video clerk. "I'm going to have to answer the phone, I hate answering the phone, the phone scares me!" She thought again. As her superior kept giving her the eye to "help out" the young lassie answered the phone. What happened next will boggle the human mind!

Lucinda answers the phone where a young gentleman on the other end asked if the store carries K-Y Jelly. Lucinda thought for a moment, and then told the caller she thought that they might carry it, and to please hold why she goes and checks to make sure they carry this item. The young NAIVE Lucinda puts the gentleman on hold then begins to go check for the item. She left the video counter and headed over to the condiment isle. Condiments meaning, the jams, jellies, and peanut butter isle. She searched high and low for the K-Y Jelly. Thinking that it must be some kind of specialty jelly. Oh, it's special! And, I'm sure some of you reading this can attest to it's speciality. Lucinda, the video clerk, had no luck in finding the K-Y Jelly, so she proceeded to return to the video counter to tell the young man on the phone of her findings. This is how the phone conversation went down.

Lucinda: "Um, Sir, um, I'm not finding the K-Y Jelly, but we have grape jelly, apple jelly, strawberry jelly, etc."

Young Man: "What? You've got to be kidding me! Do you even KNOW what K-Y Jelly is?"

Lucinda: "Um, um, I don't, can you hold on...let me get my supervisor and she can help you..."

Supervisor: "Hello, how can I help you?"

Moments later, after the supervisor had found the K-Y Jelly (that the store DID carry) she gave the man the price and hung up the phone. When the supervisor got off the phone she took the young little naive Lucinda and showed her where the K-Y Jelly was located, and how much it cost. As Lucinda followed the supervisor she was a little confused as they walked towards the pharmacy of the grocery store to find, next to the condoms, a box with the words K-Y Jelly. Wait for, wait for it, the young lassie, Lucinda made the connection and her face flushed a rosy red as she realized what had just happened.

April FOOLS!!!

Although, this story is actually true...

Oh, poor Lucinda!

So, it's not really an April Fool's joke. Or the joke is that it's really about YOU and not Lucinda, right?
