Ask, and Ye Shall Receive!

(This doesn't look like a lot of fabric, but I have yards and yards! Picture doesn't do it justice.)

I just finished another semester of school. Yeah for me! Along with finishing another semester I finished my last sewing class. On the last day of class I was finishing up my final project, a Lined Jacket - very pleased with myself, and the outcome of it. (Watch for postings on that beauty.) However, as we are constantly chatting it up in class I was complaining to my fellow classmates about how I don't have any Sunday attire for church. Well, with my complaining my Professor said, "Here you go!" And handed me a pile of fabric straight out of an era I was never around for. I was consumed with joy! I just was given some of the most cutest fabric EVER! Since I am now officially done with work for three weeks and my dear friend Holly lent me her trusty sewing machine for the last two months I am going to get busy and make those church clothes (skirts) that I apparently don't have enough of....

My Baby!

The last two weeks have been dedicated to putting this video together for my Education Technology class. I have spent every possible moment working on this production. One of the Lab Assistants finally said, "It's not going to be an Oscar Winner!" I think he just got tired of me spending a lot of time in the lab, and needing lot's of help??? Well, it's not Oscar material, but I'm pleased with the outcome. A special thanks to my friend Holly, my sister Jessica, and my dear Aunt Debbie. (Yes, I spelt November wrong on the very end credits...GADS!!!!)

Before...AND AFTER!

Here is a picture of my couch before it's pillow change! In my sewing class at school the very first day of class we learned how to make these very simple pillow cases. I love them because they are simple, yet very straight and clean lines...no ruffles - not really into that look right now. What I'm trying to get at is for another class of mine I had to do a demostration, and for it I chose to show my class mates how to make this simple pillow case to jazz up a frumpy sofa. I think I did an awesome job, and not only that but I got some new pillows out of the whole dealio! Here are the new improved colorful stripe and floral pillow cases!!!
